Susquehanna Sprinkler, Inc. is now accepting applications for Fire Sprinkler Fitter Foremen and Laborers. 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided by Susquehanna Sprinkler. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in learning a trade. Job Requirements:
The primary function of the Fire Sprinkler Fitter is to complete the installation of fire protection piping, valves, and accessories in commercial, residential, and industrial applications.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Install or service equipment on wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Maintain proper documentation for work performed.
Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as walking on uneven surfaces and climbing stairs (multi-story buildings), ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
Coordinate with owners, general contractors, and other trades on site.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Must be detail oriented and organized.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to meet deadlines and scheduling requirements.
Attention to safety at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Must be able to carry and move heavy equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs and perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
Must be able to work in all types of weather.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, climb, lift, bend, kneel, stretch, and work in high places, on rigging, and in ditches.
Must be able to work alternative shifts, weekends, and occasionally out of town, to meet customer and/or job requirements.
Strong work ethic.
We perform work in many types of environments, including hospitals, retail, assisted living, skilled nursing, residential, and manufacturing to name a few. Although Susquehanna Sprinkler will perform a background check for new hires, some job sites require additional background checks to obtain ID badges for our employees on site.
